On December 27th, the City of Norwalk was informed that it had received the TOD Grant it applied for from the state. The grant is to be used to study/plan for Transit Oriented Development around the East Norwalk Train Station.
After missing the deadline to apply in 2014, the various stake-holders representing East Norwalk’s businesses and residents were in support of a study to determine the possibilities for redeveloping the area around the train station, while carefully considering the areas unique assets, needs and connectivity constraints.
